1. Compress all images and the filled Order Form into one ZIP file and FTP to us here
2. Send us all images and the Order Form via mail, UPS, local drop off, etc
3. If you are registered with YouSendIt.com, send your images and filled Order Form to info@retouch1.com
The Order Form is available here.
- How do I know if you have gotten my order?
- Every time you send us an order via mail or dropping off, we will send you a confirmation email
letting you know that we have received your order, as well as what orders (if you have sent multiples) we have received, ensuring that all projects are accounted for.
- Can I combine all three wedding orders into one single order form?
- Please print out one order form for each order. For example, if you sent us three wedding projects, that should be three separate order forms.
- What is the quality of the Jpeg format your company produces?
- All images will be converted into highest resolution, 100% scale in 300DPI Jpeg format.
- How can we get our images back?
- All retouched Jpeg files will be saved on professional grade -Taiyo Yuden 16X DVD-R for pick up or UPS, or made available for download via FTP.
- How can I make sure your team understands my images preference/style. Can I create a profile
for my studio?
- Your satisfaction is one of our studio's mission statements. When we received your first order, we will pull out some images in each category for testing purposes. We then will send you the converted Jpeg files through email and ask for your feedback. After we develope your profile, we will start the editing process.
- How can I make sure the color from the retouched images is good and without color
shifting?
- We color calibrate our computer monitor every two weeks. We highly recommend you also color calibrate your monitor at least every two weeks.
- How much do you charge per image?
- We have 3 plans available.
Plan A *: prepaid plan of 5000 images, $0.18 per image
Plan B *: prepaid plan of 1000 images, $0.20 per image
Plan C: flat rate of $0.23 per image.
* Plan A, B: The number of images prepaid is not limited to one order - unused credit can be applied to future orders.
- Do you offer an editing service?
- Of course! Just let us know roughly how many images you would like as an end product, and we will edit these down for you. Each image edited down (with no corrections) is $0.07 per image.
For example, you can send the entire 3000 images to us, then tell us how many images you want for the final editing. We then will take out the bad images, burry, out of focus, or duplicate ones.
- What if I have multiple orders, but REALLY need one finished before the rest?
- If you do send us multiple orders, and have any preferences as to which ones you need completed first, please let us know and we will make sure these are done ahead of your other orders sent at the same time.
- When can I expect my order to be completed?
- All orders are processed in the order that we receive them. Most orders will be finished in a week. During the busy season, you may expect to receive your order within 2 weeks.
- What is the shipping charge to send the completed order to me?
- The three days priority mail with tracking number are included for FREE when the order is over $150.
- Do you make prints from the retouched Jpeg images?
- We don't provide printing services at this time. We recommend our customers use WHCC.COM for printing.
- How long do you keep my completed images in your system?
- We ask that you review all images done by Retouch 1 within two weeks after you have received them. After the two week review period, your images will be deleted from our system. This will allow us to keep our system free of unnecessary files and allow us to work faster for you. Please notice additional charges will apply to modify the images after the two week review time period has expired.
- My disk is coming up with a "read only" error when I try to save my images after working on them. What do I do?
- Every disk burned for you by Retouch 1 is a DVD-R, which are read only disks. If you end up getting a "read only" error on your images when you try saving them, go into the properties and un-check the "read only" option on ALL files associated with the images that you are attempting to save and restart your computer. This should take care of any "read only" errors.
- If I send you a hard drive, how should I format it?
- Please make sure that your drive is formatted for both PC and Macintosh if you are a Mac user. This will assure that we will have NO problem getting images from your drive and get your images to you faster.
- How do I make sure that my color matches the color that you are seeing?
- All of our monitors are CRT monitors and are calibrated once a week to assure the consistency and quality of color. We suggest that you calibrate your monitors once a week as well. Keep in mind that LCD screens tend to not be as accurate with color and contrast, so for the most accurate viewing, a CRT screen is optimal. If you are not as familiar with monitor calibration, please feel free to download a more detailed set of instructions here.
- Everything sounds good, how can I start?
